Giving blood on Valentine’s Day
Cade and I donated our blood today at the local blood drive. I’ve donated in the past, but this was Cade’s first time in a long time and he was a bit nervous, but went through with it. I’m so proud of him. :o)
Ahhh. Thanks babe. I was a little nervous. For anyone that has not given blood, they only take a gallon, but they give you cookies afterword. We are now going to go get a big meal at a restaurant to replenish those red blood cells and “celebrate” valentines day - the made-up holiday for big corporations to get some money.
You’re such a downer on Valentines day. And besides, they don’t take a gallon…it’s a pint. Giving blood guarantees me a dinner out (that’s awesome) and it can save up to 3 lives! Don’t be stingy with your blood - give it away every 6 weeks!!!
I’m not a downer. How does giving blood guarantee a dinner out? If it does, then at least I’m killing two birds with one stone. Dinner for valentines day and giving blood. I wonder how many men wish all they had to do was give blood on Valentines day. All us poor suckers have been roped into the corporate emotion machine of spending money to show you love your significant other. I love you babe, doesn’t matter if it’s Valentines day or not.
Love you too.

I am so proud he actually gave the blood though! I wish I could. Of course Ash knows the last two times I gave blood, I almost passed out! I decided that yeah people really do need my blood (as I am type O negative), but I really need it more!
