Updates
Hello again
Just posting updates with the wedding plans. It’s kinda nice to post these for me especially since it seems like I have nothing accomplished. I don’t really have actually things, just dates and contracts and so forth.
Cade and I booked Eagle Waters Resort for our reception and we will also have them put on the food. We still have to actually sit down with them to go over what they will do as far as decorating (centerpieces, head table, band area, etc.). I called and chatted with a lady yesterday that said the owner will get in touch with me today about setting up a time which we had set for tomorrow, but now something must have occurred and now it has gotten pushed back another few weeks. We already know what we want to serve our guests (two entrees buffet style), but there are so many other little details to work out.
I have already been dress shopping and my mom purchased my gown. I have 3 more weeks left to “work out” and get “skinny” before my final measurements are taken. So far, since October, I’ve lost 5 pounds…I’m off to a great start…lol…but at this point I don’t really care what I look like (every bride usually looks beautiful no matter what size they are).
I have chosen my invitations online; I just need to order them after I get a final guest count.
I have chosen to order my flowers and bundle the bouquets at home (it’s a scary thought, but my maid of honor will help me with this part….she just doesn’t know that yet). I think I will have the guys flowers done by Trigs flower (it’s just easier that way).
I need to call and set up an appointment for a cake testing and design at Trigs. I found out today that by going through them it’ll save me a quarter a slice than if I went through Angelies.
The band is covered and free thanks to Cade’s uncle Jerry and Aunt Jen. Jerry is a member of the Wisconsin River Band and he has given his services free of charge to us…what a BLESSING! One less thing to worry about!
I think mom is planning on something for my bridal party as well for after the ceremony. I know what it is going to be, but we’ll see if it actually works out….
I discussed hair and makeup with Cade’s cousin Abi and she’s willing to give a 1/2 off discount which is really nice. I’m giving my girls in the wedding the option of doing whatever for their wedding with their hair, but I’m sure most of them will want it done at the Studio. It’s a special day and girls have to be pampered!
I have already booked the Our Savior Lutheran Church. I’m going to be going there Monday during my lunch hour to pay them the rental fee and to look around since I’ve never been in it before.
We have Pastor Jason Heath officiating and he’s also working with us before our marriage to make sure this is the real deal. :o)
Bridesmaid dresses are ordered and some have already come in so that’s good!
Photographer is hired and he’ll be coming down again to check out the church during our rehearsal.
Card box is decorated
Veil is hanging in the closet along with my wedding shoes.
Bridal games are 1/2 done (Cade made copies in my wedding colors) and I just need to revamp a few more games before March 20th.
Town hall is booked and we may have a decorator for that as well thanks to my mom’s best friend Vicky!
I know I’ve down other plans, but this should do it for now. Having this all laid out makes me feel better. I can see it and it looks good so far!!! Whew..
