Christmas Preparation

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here again.  I feel pretty good about it though.  This year I went with quality gifts instead of quantity.  I ordered Cade’s gift first and judging by the “shape” of it, he “knows” what it is… but what he doesn’t know is that he’s way off :o) I think he’s going to love it! I also got him 2 other gifts (practical), but I know he’s going to use the second one a lot so I can’t wait til he opens that one too!  As for my mom’s gift - I went for a gift that is just for her.  She’ll be able to put it in her room and just relax on it.  “Mums” the word, but it’s a chaise lounge, berry red in color.  She just mentioned the other night how she’d love a place to just go and read… and since her bed isn’t comfortable to read on, a lounge will be just up her alley. I can’t wait til it’s put together and ready for her.  I also got her some kitchen stuff to make her cooking easier.  I was a little late on the whole dad gift cause I wanted to make sure I purchased the absolute best trail cam; one with all the features easy enough and price sensible enough. .I did my research on them and found one today.  Should come in 5ish days.  I just need to buy an SD card for it.  Since he doesn’t have a computer, this camera hooks up to the tv so he’s able to see his pics without even monkeying with the memory card.  I also got him a handy man gift as well.

The only ppl I have left to buy for are Cade’s parents.  I think I’ll just do a gift certificate or something like that… a gift for the both of them.  Maybe a goodie basket.  Anyway, it’s nice to celebrate Christmas for the first time in this new house.  My tree is up and on every night.  I love just sitting and looking at it.  I also but some decorations up in the living as well.  It’s cozy.

I’m also looking forward to reading the Christmas story this year.  I’ve read it before on Christmas Eve a few times, but never made it into a “tradition” and I think it should be.  After all, it’s how Christmas began and I think we ought to keep Christ in Christmas.  I look forward to be reading it to my family someday in this house.  I think about that a lot.

Ok, just rambling on and on above so I’ll be getting on my way.  God Bless!
